Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative service among libraries which allows current WWC students, faculty, and staff to obtain books and journal articles that are unavailable in our library’s collection. We do not usually accept requests for audiovisual materials.
Most requests are available from free suppliers, but delivery time varies according to availability, location, and format. Please allow a few days for delivery for physical materials (articles delivered electronically arrive much more quickly).
For physical materials, you will be notified when your item is ready for pickup at the Circulation Desk. For books and other items that must be returned, the lending library determines the due date and all interlibrary loans must be returned on time to avoid endangering the library’s borrowing privileges. For electronic articles, you will receive an email with the item(s) attached.
If you have any questions, please email, call 771-3062, or stop by the ILL office on the main level of the library.
Books
You can request books that we don't have at our library from within OwlSearch. First, it's a good idea to "Sign In" (upper right corner). If you are searching for books and want to see ones that we don't own, just click the "Libraries Worldwide" button under the "Held by My Library" heading:
When you find the book you want, click on the title and then find the Request button under “Access Options” on the right hand side of the page.
Articles
If you discover an article but aren't able to access the full text, first, check the Online Journal Lookup to make sure we do not have access. Then, If you would like to request the article, use this online form. You can expect an electronic copy of your article in a day or two.
